Clean the application surface thoroughly, it must be dry and free from dust, moisture, and oils for the adhesive to bond correctly.
Unzip the zipper fully before application so the nylon strip lies completely flat.
Mark the intended position of the zipper on the sheeting, centring it on your desired entry point.
Peel back a short section of the adhesive backing and press the nylon strip firmly onto the sheeting at the top of the zipper, starting from one end.
Continue peeling the backing gradually and pressing the full 2.13 m (7 ft) strip down in one continuous run, applying firm, even pressure throughout.
Repeat for the opposing half of the zipper, aligning the two halves carefully before pressing to ensure the slider engages cleanly.
Once both strips are applied, run firm pressure along the full length of each strip, a roller or the back of a hand works well to maximise adhesion.
Allow the adhesive to cure before operating the zipper under regular load.
Open and close the zipper several times to confirm the slider runs freely along the full length without catching.
Store unused zippers in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive strength until needed.
