The AC Infinity Self Watering Base Valve Kit is a four-valve upgrade that converts a pack of self-watering trays from hand-refilled to reservoir-fed, keeping every basin topped up automatically without a pump or a power point. It is the automation piece of AC Infinity's watering range and does nothing on its own: each valve sits inside the basin of an AC Infinity Self Watering Base - 4PK, and one kit automates a full four-base pack. For a grower already sold on wick-fed bottom watering but tired of walking the room with a watering can, this is the add-on that removes the last manual chore.
Each of the four valves is a gravity-fed float valve built around an oversized float, housed in a transparent body measuring 12.0 cm x 5.4 cm x 16.2 cm (4.72" x 2.12" x 6.37") so the mechanism can be watched working. A raised reservoir feeds the supply line by gravity alone; when a basin's level drops the float sinks and opens the valve, water flows until the set level is restored, and the oversized float presses the valve firmly closed again. The kit includes 4.57 m (15 ft) of water tube sized for 6.35 mm (1/4 in) internal diameter and 9.5 mm (3/8 in) outer diameter fittings, the trade size most irrigation tube is sold under, plus four Y-splitters for branching one supply line across multiple bases and four elbow valve nozzles for tidy runs in tight corners. AC Infinity describe every connection as a secure-seal push fitting that assembles and dismantles by hand with no tools.
In practice the kit pairs with any raised water source, from a shelf-mounted drum to a collapsible reservoir such as the Aqua Tanks Flexible Water Tank, and fits both the Standard and XL bases. Because delivery is gravity-fed, the reservoir must sit above the height of the valves, and flow stops entirely if the supply runs dry, so the reservoir level still needs an occasional glance. The valves add automatic refilling only; wick delivery, runoff recycling and the water meter remain the job of the bases beneath them. One kit, one raised reservoir and four bases form a self-topping watering loop that runs unattended for as long as the reservoir holds out.
NOTE: this kit requires Self Watering Bases and an elevated reservoir to function - it contains no pump and cannot draw water from a container sitting at or below basin height.
