AC Infinity UIS Daisy Chain Splitter
When several compatible devices need to follow one controller port and shared programme, the AC Infinity UIS Daisy Chain Splitter provides a two-port dongle at each piece of equipment as an automation setup grows over time. This device-by-device approach lets the chain continue through an input and an output instead of requiring a larger controller. Customers choose between the UIS version for AC Infinity's own control network and the RJ11/12 lighting version for controllers that use telephone-style dimming ports. Exact models, supplied accessories and connection limits remain in Technical Specifications.
Both versions use a right-angle male UIS plug at the device and a small block with two directional female ports. The controller feed enters the INPUT port, then the OUTPUT port runs to the next adapter. Those ports are not interchangeable. The UIS version uses AC Infinity's proprietary USB-C-shaped connector and includes a female-to-female coupler for devices that end in a male lead; each link still needs a male-to-male UIS cord, which is not supplied with the dongle. The RJ11/12 version is for compatible grow lights, includes an RJ11 extension cable and can also reach a UIS controller through the correct lighting adapter.
A daisy chain is useful when several devices genuinely need to behave as one group. Every unit on the chain follows the triggers, timer, cycle or schedule assigned to that controller port, so equipment needing different behaviour belongs on separate ports. AC Infinity require devices in one chain to be the same type and require chained grow lights to be from the same series.
NOTE: UIS is AC Infinity's proprietary control connection, not a standard USB-C data or charging connection. The RJ11/12 model carries a dimming signal only and cannot power a UIS controller. A separate powered UIS device or suitable power adapter is still required for the controller.

AC Infinity UIS Daisy Chain Splitter
Key Highlights
expand_more
- Two female ports on every dongle, one input and one output, so each device carries its own expansion point
- AC Infinity print 20 devices per controller port on both models' specification panels; their IONFRAME EVO manual states 16 for a chain of grow lights
- Both models seat into the grow device by a male UIS connector; the USB C model's two female ports are UIS, the RJ11/12 model's are RJ11/12 jacks
- Each model brings its own link accessory: the RJ11/12 dongle includes an RJ11 extension of 3.05 m (120 in / 10 ft), the USB C dongle a female to female UIS coupler of 2.7 x 1.1 cm (1.07 x 0.44 in)
- A UIS Type-A Lighting Adapter, sold separately, is the part AC Infinity name for driving this RJ11/12 chain from a UIS controller port instead
- 25.4 cm (10 in) from plug tip to block, which AC Infinity publish as the adapter's total length rather than a usable cord length
- AC Infinity define their Type-A lighting class as grow lights dimmed by PWM or the 0-10V protocol, and caution that variations between manufacturers can limit dimming levels
- A male to male UIS cord is required for every link on the USB C model and is not supplied with the dongle
Directions for Use
expand_more
- Plug the dongle's right angle male UIS end into the grow device, not into the controller.
- On the USB C model, run a male to male UIS cord from the controller port into the dongle's INPUT port. On the RJ11/12 model, run the included RJ11 cable from the controller's RJ11 or RJ12 port into the dongle's input jack.
- Where a UIS device terminates in a male pigtail rather than a female port, fit the included female to female coupler between the device and the dongle (USB C model).
- Extend the chain by running a cord from one dongle's output port to the next dongle's input port. The ports are directional and not interchangeable.
- On the USB C model, the chain can also be ended by linking the final OUTPUT port straight to a UIS device. The RJ11/12 model's ports are RJ11 and RJ12 only, so it cannot end on a UIS device.
- To run the RJ11/12 model from a UIS controller instead, fit a UIS Type-A Lighting Adapter, sold separately, to the controller port and run the included RJ11 cable from it into the first dongle.
- Keep every device on a single chain to the same type, and every chained grow light to the same series.
- Set the triggers, timers, cycles and schedules on that controller port, from the controller or the AC Infinity app. Every device in the chain follows that one programme.
