Aptus Finaleboost
Aptus Finaleboost is a concentrated maturation booster for the back half of flowering, when a crop has finished stretching and the work shifts to filling, ripening and building density. It is a potassium and sulphur finisher with no phosphorus in it at all, and that absence is the design rather than an oversight: phosphorus does its work early, shooting and setting flowers, while potassium is the element that matures, densifies and ripens them later on. Separating the two gives a grower control over when each one arrives, instead of running a blended PK product that pushes both at the same time.
The formula is organo-mineral, a blend of organic and mineral inputs rather than one or the other. Its organic fraction is hydrolysed proteins, chelated with potassium and sulphur so they are easier for the plant to take up. Aptus credit that higher uptake with increased oil and terpene production, and put the gain in dry weight down to the extra essential oils, sugars and amino acids a maturing flower lays down. Because there is no phosphorus in the bottle, the potassium level can be dialled up or down to suit the metabolism of particular genetics without dragging phosphorus along with it.
The full Aptus programme is not a prerequisite. Aptus report that three to four weeks of Finaleboost at the end of any regime changes the quality and weight of the finished flower, and their advice to a grower already running a PK booster is to drop it rather than stack the two, since the phosphorus half is not needed by then. The window is meant to move with the crop as well: weeks six through eight of flowering is the minimum the Australian catalogue prints, and stretching or trimming that to match a strain's total flowering time is part of how the product is used. Outside of flower it can be mixed through a substrate such as perlite before planting, which heads off potassium deficiency once seedlings or cuttings go into it.
NOTE: Finaleboost can generate toxic gases in contact with inorganic sulphide or strong reducing agents. Keep the concentrate in its original container, tightly closed, and do not store diluted product.
Give late flower the potassium it wants, without the phosphorus it doesn't!

Dilution Rate
- Regular feeding: 0.1 ml - 0.67 ml per 1 L
- Foliar spray (maintenance): 2 ml - 2.5 ml per 1 L
- Foliar spray (repair): 4 ml - 5 ml per 1 L
Application
- Add Finaleboost to the reservoir through the flowering stage, from week six through week eight at minimum.
- Extend or shorten that window to suit the total flowering time of the plant, or the preferences of the individual cultivar.
- Mix well after adding, then check pH.
- Prepare the nutrient mix fresh and use it as soon as it is ready.
- As a foliar spray, apply at the maintenance rate for routine use, or at the repair rate for a corrective application.
- It can also be used as a standalone potassium booster at any stage of growth, or as an additive to pre-load substrates such as perlite to prevent potassium deficiencies after transplant.
Safety
No signal word or pictogram is assigned. Causes skin irritation; causes serious eye irritation.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection and face protection when handling, and avoid breathing vapours or mist.
Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after handling.
Do not store diluted product; mix only what will be used.
Keep the concentrate in its original container, tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not mix other chemicals into it, and avoid contamination.
Avoid excessive heat and avoid freezing.
Can generate toxic gases in contact with inorganic sulphide or strong reducing agents.
Consider your own safety first before giving first aid.
If swallowed: rinse the mouth and spit, give a glass of water if the person is conscious, and contact a Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26) or a doctor.
If in eyes: rinse cautiously with running water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. Get medical advice if irritation persists.
If on skin: wash with plenty of water, and get medical advice if irritation occurs.
If inhaled: move to fresh air, rinse the mouth and spit, and contact a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor for advice.
