The Autopot Hydropak Starter Kit is a complete, plug-and-play gravity-fed growing system designed for both beginners and experienced growers. It includes everything you need to get started: a 35 L Hydrotank reservoir, Hydrotray Double 10” module, two 10” pots, root control mats, fittings, tubing, filter, nutrient samples, and a 50/50 perlite-vermiculite mix. Compact and easy to set up, the Hydropak provides reliable, low-maintenance plant care without pumps, timers, or electricity.

At the heart of the system is the Smart-Valve, which automatically regulates water and nutrient supply based on plant demand. By delivering moisture only when the tray is empty, it mimics natural wet/dry cycles that encourage healthy root development. The result is an efficient, waste-free system that reduces labour while optimising plant growth, making it ideal for vegetables, herbs, and fruiting plants indoors or outdoors.

Directions for UseDirections for Use

  1. Place the Hydrotank on a level surface higher than the pots for proper gravity flow.
  2. Connect the tubing from the tank outlet to the Smart-Valve and Hydrotray module.
  3. Insert root control mats into the base of the pots.
  4. Fill pots with the included 50/50 perlite-vermiculite mix.
  5. Plant seeds or seedlings directly into the media.
  6. Fill the 35 L tank with water and nutrient solution.
  7. The Smart-Valve will regulate supply as plants draw down water, maintaining optimal moisture.
  8. Refill the tank every 3–5 weeks depending on plant size and weather.
