Biobest Bug Scan Roll puts a continuous sticky trapping surface along crop rows or around a growing area, helping catch flying pests while making their activity easier to follow. Yellow, blue and red rolls target different insects: yellow covers a broader group of flying pests, blue focuses on adult thrips, and red attracts most leafhoppers and some gall midges. The colour is part of the trapping method, rather than simply a way to distinguish one roll from another.
The tape is made from durable, recyclable plastic with wet glue on both faces. Flying insects attracted to its colour land on the adhesive and remain there, leaving a record that can be checked as part of regular crop scouting. Non-sticky edges run along the tape, and a clear starting section helps with unwinding. That makes a continuous roll useful where individual cards would leave gaps between monitoring points.
Use the rolls in protected vegetable, berry and ornamental crops or propagation areas. They can be hung along rows for mass trapping or placed around the crop perimeter as a physical interception barrier. Compatible sticky-roll holders support the installation. A roll still needs regular attention: counting trapped insects over time is what turns catches into useful information about a new infestation or a changing pest population. The red roll is paired with the suspension-frame style of holder.
Keep the pest target with its colour when comparing results: a thrips catch on blue tape is a different monitoring tool from a leafhopper catch on red.
NOTE: These sticky traps cannot currently be used in Victoria.
