Biobest Bug Scan Trap helps make flying-pest activity visible before it is easy to spot in the crop. The yellow card attracts whitefly, fungus gnats, aphids and thrips, while the blue card is aimed at thrips. Both use a coloured adhesive surface to catch insects so that you can inspect and count them during normal crop checks.
A durable, recyclable plastic card supports glue on both sides. An integrated hook makes the card straightforward to hang, and the counting grid on one face helps organise what is caught. The adhesive is water-repellent and resists drying in hot conditions, and the plastic cards hold their shape under high temperature and humidity. This is the classic wet-glue Bug Scan format; the separate Dry version uses a different adhesive for cleaner handling.
The cards can be used in protected or outdoor crops. Their main value is the picture they build over successive inspections: a first catch can flag an arrival, while repeated counts show whether activity is rising or falling. Keep the chosen colour in mind when reading catches, because the yellow and blue versions do not represent the same target range.
Each size and colour comes as a single card or in packs of 10 or 20, so a small monitoring setup and a wider deployment can use exactly the same trap.
NOTE: These sticky traps cannot currently be used in Victoria.
