Bluelab Power Pod
The Bluelab Power Pod brings mains-powered equipment under the control of a Bluelab Pro Controller. It adds electronic mains switching to the Bluelab Pro Controller and the Bluelab Pro Controller Wi-Fi. The controller can then switch on equipment such as pumps, heaters, coolers and other temperature control systems, so those devices no longer need their own timer or a manual switch. With four mains outputs in one wall-mounted unit, a single controller can manage several mains devices at once. The Power Pod is the part that lets a Pro Controller run a larger automated system.
The Power Pod sits between the mains supply and the equipment it runs. Power comes in through a three-conductor cord that plugs into an IEC C13 connector on the underside, and goes out through four outputs, each with its own supplied output cord. Pumps, heaters or coolers plug into the Power Pod instead of straight into the wall. The control signal comes from the controller over the supplied dosing cable, which plugs into the M12 input connector and locks with a screw collar. A matching M12 output connector passes that signal on, so the Power Pod can sit in a chain: a Bluelab Peridoser, Solenoid kit, Peripod or a second Power Pod plugs into its output, while the Power Pod itself connects directly to the controller. The enclosure carries an IP43 rating once every mains output has a plug in place. A water cover comes in the box for extra protection when the unit is mounted somewhere damp. Inside the case is a replaceable fuse, and four mounting screws fix the unit to a wall or other solid surface.
The Power Pod is built for the Pro Controller family, so the main question is which controller is already running the system. Plan the load before plugging anything in. Everything connected shares one combined rating, listed under Technical Specifications, so the sockets do not each carry their own separate allowance. A heater and a large pump running together should be checked against that total. Mount the unit so the mains input connector stays clear and easy to remove. Looking after it is simple: disconnect it from the mains, wipe it with a cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild detergent, never a solvent, and check the connected cables regularly for damaged insulation or exposed metal.
NOTE: Dose ratios are not supported when a Power Pod and a Peripod are connected to the same Pro Controller at the same time.
Let your Bluelab controller switch the heaters, coolers and pumps too!

Installation
- Do not install the Power Pod while it is connected to a mains power supply.
- Mount the Power Pod to a wall or solid surface with the four supplied fasteners, oriented as shown in the manual's up/down diagram, keeping the mains input connector unobstructed and easy to remove.
- If the unit will be used in a damp environment, fit the supplied water cover correctly.
- Connect the supplied three-conductor mains cable to the IEC C13 connector on the underside of the Power Pod, then plug it into a properly grounded power outlet. If a two-conductor cable or non-grounded outlet is used instead, make sure the equipment connected to the Power Pod does not require a ground connection.
- Plug mains-powered equipment such as pumps, heaters or coolers into one or all four output sockets, keeping the combined load of everything connected under 8.5 A.
- Connect the dosing cable to the Input connector on the underside of the Power Pod, pushing and screwing the collar fully in, and run it to the Bluelab Pro Controller.
- To chain a Bluelab Peridoser, Solenoid kit, Peripod or a second Power Pod, plug the Power Pod directly into the Pro Controller, then plug the accessory into the Power Pod's Output connector, pushing and screwing the collar fully in.
- Dose ratios are not supported when a Power Pod and a Peripod are connected to the same Pro Controller at the same time.
- To clean, disconnect the Power Pod from mains power, then wipe it with a cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild detergent. Never use solvents.
- To replace the fuse, disconnect the Power Pod from mains power, disconnect all other cables and remove it from its mounted position. Remove the four fasteners from the back of the unit, open the case, carefully remove the faulty fuse and fit a replacement rated at 10 A that meets IEC 61010-1:2010. Reassemble the case, tighten all fasteners firmly and remount the unit before reconnecting any cabling or mains power.
Safety
Always disconnect the Power Pod from mains power before any cleaning or maintenance.
Inspect all connected cables regularly for damaged insulation or exposed metal, and replace any damaged cable before further use.
