Bluelab Sample Tube & Fittings
The Bluelab Sample Tube & Fittings gives a reservoir its own dedicated sample line, so the pH, conductivity (EC/PPM) and temperature of the nutrient solution can be checked without opening the reservoir. Instead of probes hanging over the edge of a tank, they sit together in one tube that the solution flows through. It suits setups where the reservoir sits away from the monitor or controller, and it turns routine probe care into a quick job.
The tube holds each probe in a secure, leak-proof fitting and is mounted upright, with the reservoir pump circulating solution through it. Because the probes sit in the circulating solution, they measure it directly. Easy-to-use shut-off valves are part of the setup, and a manual sample tap lets solution be drawn off for testing by hand. Installation fittings come in the box.
That arrangement pays off at maintenance time. Each probe comes out easily for cleaning and calibration rather than being retrieved from inside the reservoir, and Bluelab point to that easy removal as a way to extend probe life. The Sample Tube works with the Bluelab Guardian Wi-Fi and the Bluelab Pro Controller Wi-Fi, and Bluelab also list it for the Guardian Monitor, Guardian Monitor Connect, Guardian Monitor Connect Inline, pH Controller, pH Controller Connect, Pro Controller, PeriPod and Dosetronic. It is not designed for high-pressure systems, so confirm the pump's working pressure before plumbing it in. Mount it vertically rather than horizontally to keep air bubbles and deposits off the probes. It can sit lower than the reservoir because the pump carries the solution to it, but if the pump stops the line can siphon, so allow for that when planning the run.

Installation
- Mount the Sample Tube vertically, not horizontally, to prevent air bubbles and deposit buildup on the probes.
- For a remote-reservoir setup, position it roughly 2 m (6.6 ft) from the controller.
- The tube can sit lower than the reservoir because the pump circulates the water to it, but watch for siphoning if the pump stops.
- Do not exceed 103 kPa (15 psi) - the Sample Tube is not designed for high-pressure systems.
