Bugs for Bugs Delta Trap Kit creates a reusable monitoring station for moth pheromone lures. A lure sits over the sticky base, drawing the target insects into the trap where their activity can be checked over time. It is the trap housing and capture surface for a species-specific lure, rather than a universal moth attractant on its own.
The corrugated plastic body has a UV-resistant coating to withstand rain and sunlight. A wire hanger supports placement, and replaceable sticky inserts let the trap body remain in service when the capture surface needs renewing. The kit includes the trap, hanger and three inserts, providing spare bases for continued monitoring.
Set up the housing and place a pheromone lure in the centre of the sticky insert. The lure needs to match the pest being monitored, and Bugs for Bugs Pheromone Lures cover a range of target species. Keep an eye on the condition of the insert as well as the insects caught, because dust and a full catch can reduce the usable sticky surface.
Replacement inserts are available separately, so a sound trap body need not be discarded at each service. A delta trap is one part of the monitoring setup: pair it with the appropriate lure and a regular inspection routine so catches can help guide pest-management decisions.
NOTE: These sticky traps cannot currently be used in Victoria.
