Bugs for Bugs Fruit Fly Posters put Australian fruit fly identification and management information where it can be seen at a glance. The paired wall posters cover pest species affecting commercial crops and several non-pest flies that can also turn up in traps, helping put a trap catch into context.
Species photographs sit alongside information on host plants, distribution, identification and attraction to male chemical lures. The second poster features eleven species and adds information on eradication, suppression and fruit disinfestation techniques. It is a reference set for checking and discussing what is being found, rather than relying on a trap count alone.
The posters suit packing houses, agricultural advisory work, educational settings and horticultural monitoring programmes. The laminated and unlaminated sets contain the same pair of posters, so the finish simply suits how the set will be displayed.
