DIGI-LUMEN Extreme Dual Spectrum LED
The DIGI-LUMEN Extreme Dual Spectrum LED is a bar-style, full-spectrum grow light that adds dedicated ultraviolet and far-red diodes to a white and deep-red base, so one fixture can carry a crop from vigorous vegetative growth right through flowering. DIGI-LUMEN build the Extreme around this dual spectrum to support vigorous growth and improved flower development, and the UV and far-red sit on their own channel, so they come in only when the plants are ready for them. It is one light built in two sizes, 780 W and 888 W: both share the same bar layout with the driver inside the fixture, while rated coverage and photon output step up from the 780 W to the 888 W.
Across the bars, single-mount LEDs lay down a 4000 K white base for broad, balanced light, reinforced with 660 nm deep red, a wavelength plants put to very efficient use in photosynthesis. Alongside them sit 395 nm near-ultraviolet and 730 nm far-red diodes, which sit at the edges of the main photosynthetic band and are used to shape how plants develop rather than simply to add raw output. The 888 W carries more diodes overall and a much larger share of red, UV and far-red than the 780 W, and it is the more efficient of the two. Manual dimming controls on the fixture set the main output, and a separate UV + FR knob sets the dual-spectrum channel, with UV and far-red switching on together at whatever level is chosen. The high-frequency driver lives inside the fixture, so there is no external ballast cable or signal hub to mount, and DIGI-LUMEN describe the result as cooler, quieter rooms. An iron frame carries an aluminium heat sink.
The light distribution is engineered to hold PPFD consistent from the centre of the canopy out to its edges, so plants at the sides of the footprint are not left short while those in the middle take the brunt. Treat the UV channel with respect: bring it in at a low setting, watch the plants for any sign of stress, and keep exposure times shorter as the setting rises, reserving full output for crops under close observation. For hanging height and dimmer setting, a quantum PAR meter reading at the top of the canopy is the most dependable guide, because the right intensity changes as plants move from early growth into flower.
NOTE: The UV + FR channel emits ultraviolet light that is invisible to the eye. Wear protective eyewear and avoid direct eye or skin exposure whenever the channel is active.

Directions for Use

Hanging Height
- Set the hanging height by light level rather than a fixed distance. Check the reading at the top of the canopy with a quantum PAR meter such as the Treegers Quantum PAR Meter, and raise or lower the fixture until the reading suits the plants' stage of growth.
Dimming
- Start at the lowest dimmer setting and raise the intensity gradually as the plants grow, checking the reading again after each change.
- Use the onboard UV + FR knob to set the ultraviolet and far-red channel anywhere from 0 to 100%; the UV and far-red diodes switch on together at that level.
- Start the UV + FR channel at a low setting of 10 to 20% and monitor the plants closely for stress before increasing it.
- Limit UV exposure time, especially at higher settings, and use 100% only with caution and close monitoring.
Safety
Wear protective eyewear and avoid direct eye or skin exposure whenever the UV + FR channel is on, as its ultraviolet output is invisible.
