DIGI-LUMEN Extreme LED Bar
The DIGI-LUMEN Extreme LED Bar is a compact 60 W LED grow light made for the start of the crop: striking cuttings, rooting them and carrying young plants through early vegetative growth. It produces 180 µmol/s of photosynthetic light at an efficacy of 3.0 µmol/J, giving propagation shelves and small vegetative spaces strong, efficient light from a single slim bar. What sets it apart is what you won't have to hang beside it. The high-frequency driver is built into the fixture itself, so there is no external ballast, ballast cable or signal hub to mount and route.
Light comes from 192 single-mount LEDs spread along the length of the bar, using PAR-optimised diodes chosen for the wavelengths plants use for photosynthesis. Efficacy, measured in µmol/J, tells you how much of that usable light a fixture delivers for each joule of electricity it draws, so a higher figure means more light reaching the leaves for the same power bill. The diodes sit on an aluminium heat-sink body that conducts heat away from the LEDs. That matters because LEDs hold their output and service life best when they run cool. A 120-degree beam angle spreads the light wide rather than concentrating it under the centre of the bar, and DIGI-LUMEN engineered the bar for uniform coverage from corner to corner of the grow area. Keeping the driver inside the fixture is also the maker's basis for cooler, quieter rooms.
An IP45 rating makes the bar water resistant, which suits the humid air of a propagation space where young plants and high moisture go together. DIGI-LUMEN position this bar for cuttings, rooting and early vegetative growth, and that is the work its output is matched to. When setting it up, start with the bar higher above fresh cuttings and bring it closer as roots form and growth picks up. Check the light at the plant tops with a PAR meter rather than judging brightness by eye, since the eye is a poor judge of photosynthetic light.
NOTE: This is a mains-powered grow light. Switch it off at the wall before hanging, adjusting or cleaning it, and operate it within its rated range of -25 °C to 40 °C (-13 °F to 104 °F). The 60 W LED Stand shown with the bar in one photo is sold separately and is not included.

Hanging Height
- Set the hanging height by light level rather than a fixed distance. Check the reading at the top of the canopy with a quantum PAR meter such as the Treegers Quantum PAR Meter, and raise or lower the fixture until the reading suits the plants' stage of growth.
Safety
Switch the light off at the wall before hanging, adjusting or cleaning it, and keep it within its rated operating temperature range.
