DIGI-LUMEN Extreme Under Canopy LED
The DIGI-LUMEN Extreme Under Canopy LED is a slim full-spectrum bar built to light a crop from underneath, in the shade the plants themselves create. Lower leaves and inner sites spend most of a cycle working on whatever light leaks past the growth above them, and a bar sitting below the canopy puts photons onto the undersides of leaves and into the crowded middle of the plant, where a top-mounted fixture has nothing left to give. Its driver lives inside the housing, so the fixture goes up as one piece and nothing extra has to be mounted beside it.
The body is extruded 6063 aluminium sealed to IP65, which matters more below a canopy than above one: this is the part of the room where drippers, trays and runoff sit, and an under-canopy fixture spends its life close to all three. Three diode groups share the board. A 6500 K white base does the bulk of the photosynthetic work, deep red at 660 nm sits close to chlorophyll's strongest absorption peak, and far-red at 730 nm is absorbed less readily by the first leaves it meets, so more of it filters into dense growth and works alongside the red. The beam angle is deliberately wide at 120 degrees, spreading that mix along and across the bar rather than firing it down a narrow column, and PPFD is mapped over a 5 x 5 grid of readings rather than taken once in the centre, so the even coverage is measured at the edges as well as the middle.
It is there to work alongside overhead lighting rather than to replace it, filling in the lower third of the plant that the main fixture has already passed over. The fixture is supplied as the bar alone: the 3 m (9.8 ft) power cable with its control lead, the 1000 mm (39.4 in) extension and jumper cable, and the two-pack of adjustable height stands are all separate purchases. Work out how each bar will be powered and held in place before ordering, since the cable run and the support both have to work from inside the crop rather than from above it.
NOTE: The power cable, the extension and jumper cable, and the adjustable height stands are sold separately and are not supplied with the fixture.

Key Highlights

Key Highlights
- Lights the lower and inner growth from beneath, where a top-mounted fixture only reaches shade
- White, deep red and far-red diodes across the full length of the bar, not a single-colour supplement
- Even photon levels from edge to edge, not just under the middle of the bar
- Driver built into the bar, so no external ballast box or signal hub is needed
- Extruded aluminium body sealed to IP65 for the wet end of a grow room
- Wide beam spread rather than a narrow downward column, so light travels sideways into the crop

Safety
Handle the bar by its aluminium body rather than the lens face when installing or repositioning it.
Keep the housing out of pooled water and standing runoff, and dry it before handling it if it has been sprayed.
