Directions for Use

How to Strike Cuttings with Eazy Plug

Moisten the Plug: Soak Eazy Plugs in water (pH 5.8) until fully saturated. Allow excess to drain, do not squeeze.
Note: Heavier than rockwool. Self-regulating water retention.
Prepare Your Cutting: Cut at 45° below a node. Remove most leaves, lightly scrape base, and trim top leaves.
Use Rooting Hormone (optional): Dip base in rooting powder if desired.
Insert Cutting: Place cutting into the plug hole, ensure it reaches the bottom.
Place in Propagator: Insert tray into a propagator. Close lid and vents for high humidity.
Remoistening & Venting: Only rewater every 3 days. Briefly open lid daily. Begin venting after 4–5 days. Keep RH >80%.
Drainage: Ensure plugs drain freely, never allow plugs to sit in water.
Open Air Vents: After rooting begins, open vents gradually to acclimate cuttings.
Transplant: In 7–9 days, transplant when roots are visible through the plug.

Rooting Conditions:

Soil Temp: 22 °C (failure rate increases >23 °C)
RH: 80–95%
Light: Broad spectrum, low intensity early; increase after rooting

How to Germinate Seeds with Eazy Plug

Moisten the Plug: Soak in water (pH 5.8), allow to drain naturally. Do not squeeze.
Sow Seeds:
With seed gap: Insert seed, cover with 1–2 mm Eazy Mixx.
With cutting hole: Place seed shallowly; cover lightly with plug material if needed.
Place in Propagator: Insert tray into propagator. Keep lid and vents fully closed.
Drainage: Ensure plugs never sit in water. They absorb moisture easily.
Await Germination: Do not open lid early. Plug retains sufficient moisture.
Avoid dehydration by keeping vents shut until seedlings appear.
Ventilation: Once germinated, slowly open vents to reduce humidity gradually.
Transplant: When roots emerge from the plug, transplant into your chosen medium.

Germination Conditions:

Soil Temp: 20–25 °C (ideal seed temp ~22–23 °C)
RH: ≥80%
Light: Most seeds don’t require light. Avoid radiant heat.
