The Gorilla Grow Tent Shorty Series redefines what’s possible in spaces with low ceilings, combining robust professional-grade construction with a compact vertical profile. Designed specifically for growing environments where height is limited, these tents stand at 1.5 m (4'11") and include a 229 mm (9") extension kit that increases total height to 1.72 m (5'8"), providing greater flexibility without compromising on quality or performance.

Built from ultra-thick 1680D fabric; up to nine times denser than standard grow tents, each Shorty model ensures excellent light retention, tear resistance, and long-term durability. The internal frame is constructed from interlocking all-steel poles that support up to 136 kg (300 lbs), offering unmatched structural integrity for lights, fans, filters, and other equipment.

Inside, the reflective diamond-patterned lining enhances light distribution for uniform canopy development, while double cinching duct ports, EZ View observation windows, and industrial-strength zippers add convenience and functionality. Directions for Use

  1. Assemble Frame
    Connect the steel poles and corners to form the tent frame.
  2. Attach Fabric
    Drape the 1680D fabric over the frame and secure it using the zippers.
  3. Install Extension (Optional)
    For additional height, attach the included 229 mm (9") extension poles and adjust the fabric accordingly.
  4. Set Up Interior
    Install lighting, ventilation, and other equipment as needed, utilizing the double cinching duct ports and support bars.
  5. Monitor Environment
    Use the EZ View windows to check on your plants without disturbing the internal environment.

The Gorilla Grow Tent Shorty is a great option for spaces with limited ceiling height. The overall build is very strong, the material feels high quality, and the adjustable height makes it much more versatile than most low-profile tents.

My main criticism is the front zip design. It closes upward from the bottom, which can be quite awkward to use, particularly once equipment is installed around the front of the tent.

Besides that, it is a very solid tent that works extremely well and should hold up well over time.

For transparency, I am the owner of Hydro Oasis. I have personally used and handled Gorilla Grow Tents, and this review is based on my own experience with them.
