Application Rate
- Apply every 3–5 weeks during the vegetative phase by top‑dressing around the base of the plant or mixing into the top layer of media.
- Apply approximately 0.5 - 1 tsp per 30 cm (1 foot) of plant height, evenly around the base of the plant.
Application
- Water thoroughly after application to activate nutrients and encourage even distribution through the root zone.
- Designed to support your outdoor base feeding, adjust frequency based on climate, plant size, and media.
- Discontinue 1–2 weeks before flowering and transition to Back Country Blend Bloom (and Boost as required).

Green Planet Back Country Blend Grow is a controlled-release nutrient designed specifically for plants grown in soil and potting mix. It forms part of the Back Country Blend range, with each product tailored to a different stage of plant growth.
It works similarly to traditional slow-release fertilisers such as Osmocote, but releases much faster. In my experience, plants often begin showing a noticeable response within 24–48 hours, while the granules generally take around two to three weeks to fully release.
This is one of my go-to recommendations for anyone wanting a simple, set-and-forget nutrient program without having to mix liquid nutrients every time they water. It is straightforward to apply, works reliably and performs extremely well across most vegetables and fruit.
