Green Planet Hydro Clay
Green Planet Expanded Clay is a professional-grade, 100% natural growing medium created from thermally expanded clay. Its lightweight, porous structure provides exceptional aeration and drainage, preventing waterlogging while maintaining the perfect balance of air and moisture in the root zone. This makes it an ideal choice for hydroponic, aquaponic, and soil-based systems, as well as for use in propagation or as a stabilising medium for larger plants.
Each clay pellet is inert, pH-neutral, and sterile, ensuring that your nutrient solutions remain stable and uncontaminated. The unique honeycomb structure encourages strong root development, improves nutrient uptake, and promotes beneficial microbial activity within the root zone. Because the pellets are non-degradable, they can be washed, sterilised, and reused across multiple crop cycles, making them both cost-effective and environmentally responsible.
Expanded Clay also doubles as an excellent top-dressing material to reduce evaporation and discourage pests such as fungus gnats. With its combination of durability, reusability, and reliable performance, Green Planet Expanded Clay is a versatile solution for growers seeking a clean, consistent, and aeration-focused medium.
Build oxygen-rich root zones for stronger plants, healthier growth, and reliable results.
Superior Root Oxygenation
The porous structure maximises airflow to the roots.
Exceptional Drainage
Allows rapid runoff to prevent oversaturation, ideal for recirculating systems.
Reusable & Pest Resistant
Inert, pH-neutral and can be cleaned and reused multiple crops.
