Reiziger Bud Booster is a liquid flowering supplement applied as a foliar spray. It is formulated to help plants move into bloom faster and finish with heavier, denser flowers. Reiziger developed it in Holland more than 20 years ago for commercial growers, and describe it as a way to speed up the flowering response and make it more uniform. The formula is organic and contaminant-free and carries over 90 different organic compounds. A single spray puts that whole mix of plant-active ingredients straight onto the foliage instead of sending it through the root-zone feed.
That mix is built from carbohydrates and polysaccharides, amino acids, vitamins, phenols and micronutrients, together with three natural plant hormones: gibberellins, auxins and cytokinins. Plants use these hormones to regulate cell division and elongation. Reiziger explain that in Bud Booster they stimulate RNA and protein synthesis to accelerate the flowering stage. The brand also say the formula enhances enzymatic and protein regulation and raises glandular trichome density, precursor production and enzyme activity. Phytoalexins, vitamins and phenolics are included for improved quality, greater stress resistance and higher resin concentration.
For the finished crop, Reiziger state that Bud Booster speeds up mineral uptake for faster flowering, increases flower weight, density and size, and aids overall plant growth for a superior harvest, with richer colour and taste. Because it goes on the leaves, it suits plants grown indoors, outdoors, in greenhouses, in hydroponics or in soil, and it works well through foggers and atomisers. It is used over a short window, from the end of vegetative growth into early flower, so it is a focused addition to a flowering routine and not another bottle to dose at every watering. Since it never goes into the reservoir, Bud Booster can be added without changing the base feed or the nutrient solution.
