Reiziger Root Booster
Reiziger Root Booster is an organic root stimulant and stress reliever built on Norwegian sea kelp. It is made to get roots moving quickly and keep plants growing strongly through the whole cycle. It suits seedlings, cuttings, transplants and established plants alike, indoors in hydroponic systems or outdoors in the garden. It also works as a recovery tonic for a plant that has stalled or taken a knock. Reiziger say it can speed up root growth by up to 55%. They describe fast white root development and plenty of lateral branching, which gives the plant more root surface for taking up water and nutrients.
The formula blends Norwegian seaweed extracts with no fewer than 60 bio-growth stimulants and vitamins. It is concentrated as a liquid fraction that keeps the complex chemistry of the kelp itself. Kelp is valued in horticulture for its ability to regenerate, and Root Booster puts that to work in three parts. The kelp supplies the root stimulation at the heart of the product. Oligosaccharides are complex carbohydrates with immune-boosting properties. They switch on the plant's own cellular defences, and Reiziger credit them with protection against frost, pathogens and plant sickness. Betaines act as a bio-catalyst that raises chlorophyll production for stronger, greener growth. Above the roots, the manufacturer points to better nutrient uptake, the end of brown roots, more even and vigorous growth, and stronger flowering and fruiting with more new leaves and biomass. Root Booster contains no synthetic elements, so it can be used in organic gardening.
Root Booster can go straight into the growing medium or be used as a foliar spray. It works with any fertigation setup, including drip lines, sprinklers, centre pivots and spray units, and with hydroponics, soil, coco coir, stone wool, perlite, expanded clay and most other growing systems. Reiziger also note faster germination when seeds are soaked in it first, because the solution softens the seed coat. They add that it improves frost protection by helping plants acclimatise. Use it at its strongest while roots are forming, ease it back once a healthy root system is in place, and carry it at a much lighter rate through bloom as part of the regular feed. For newly potted plants, cuttings and transplants, start it from the first watering. That supports the new roots while they settle into fresh media, which is when a plant is most likely to stall.

- Root Drench or Foliar: 0.5 - 1 ml/L
Application
- Shake bottle well before use.
- Follow the Reiziger Coco Feed Chart in Resources for each product's rate at each stage of growth.
- During the grow cycle, drench, dip, irrigate or foliar spray at 1 ml/L, 1 to 6 times daily for the first few weeks, until roots appear or the plant is strong.
- Once healthy roots are established, reduce to 0.5 ml/L.
- In the bloom cycle, add Root Booster to the fertiliser programme, or apply it when plants are thirsty.
