SeaHawk Grow Tent
The SeaHawk Grow Tent is a family of reflective indoor growing enclosures covering everything from a compact single-light setup to a room-scale installation. Across the range, the purpose is consistent: create a defined space for lighting, ventilation and environmental control. The shell uses a matt black outer fabric over a reflective ADF lining, supported by a push-fit metal-pole frame with moulded connectors. Footprint, height, access and ventilation layout vary substantially, so the selected model's exact figures remain in Technical Specifications.
The reflective inner surface has a fine diamond-like texture that scatters returned light across more angles than a smooth film. Cable ports, passive intakes, duct sleeves, viewing windows, hanging bars and accessory pouches are included across the family, but their number and position depend on tent size. This is important when planning a room against walls or in a corner: the usable door and duct layout matters as much as the nominal footprint. The removable floor tray catches splashes and makes cleaning easier, but it is porous and should not be treated as a reservoir. Spills should be removed rather than left standing.
Assembly begins with fully seating every pole in its corner, connector or joiner. A rubber mallet can be used gently where a fitting is tight. The cover is then worked over the completed frame and closed through its horizontal zip sections. A pole left partly engaged makes the frame oversize in the wrong places, placing unnecessary tension on seams and zips and increasing the chance of light leaks. The same care is needed during dismantling: the tent should be clean and dry, and the cover should be released without stretching the seams.
Ventilation should be balanced rather than relying on extreme negative pressure to pull the walls inward. SeaHawk's heavy-duty zips are designed for frequent access, but Holland Forge specifically excludes damage caused by forcing them or operating the tent under excessive positive or negative pressure. Guide the zip with two hands, keep fabric out of its path and avoid using the slider to drag a tight cover into alignment. A High CFM bracing arrangement may be needed where extraction is strong enough to deform the walls.
Holland Forge provides a 12-month manufacturer warranty for manufacturing or material defects and a three-month defect warranty for zips. Wear, condensation, incorrect setup, mould, burns, falling objects and misuse are excluded. Those limits make careful first assembly and immediate inspection for missing or damaged parts important.
NOTE: The 240SH instructions require two people to fit the cover and state that failing to follow this requirement can void warranty coverage. For every size, fully seat the frame before closing the cover, never force a loaded zip and mop up spills instead of leaving water in the floor tray.

Directions for Use

- Unpack and sort the frame members against the parts list in that model's manual: A horizontal rails, B and C upright sections, E shallow and F deep hanging bars, plus the D depth members supplied only with the 1.45 x 0.8 m models.
- Where floor space or headroom is tight, lay the base section of the cover out on the floor first and build the frame inside it, which is the order SeaHawk give on the 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.3 m manual. Otherwise build the frame clear of the cover and fit the cover afterwards.
- Join each B upright to its C section, then build the frame with the A rails and the moulded corner, tee, three-way and five-way connectors supplied for that model.
- Check that every pole is pushed completely into its corner, connector or joiner, tapping any fitting that resists home with a rubber mallet. A pole left partly seated makes the cover hard to fit, stretches the seams and lets light out of a running tent.
- Unzip the top and base zip runs from the front side, the side carrying the logo and the viewing windows, and leave the zips on the back side closed.
- Drop the roof section of the cover over the four top corners of the assembled frame.
- Slip the base section of the cover under the frame and bring it up to meet the roof.
- Close the two long horizontal zip runs together, top and bottom, pushing the uprights in slightly as the zip passes each corner. Two people are needed to pull the cover evenly over the frame, and SeaHawk state that failing to do so voids the warranty on the 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.3 m model.
- Slide the shallow and deep hanging bars into the top frame, then fit the floor tray, the accessory pouch and the nylon webbing straps.
- Pass ducting through the intake and outlet ports and pull each drawstring closed around the duct. Draw unused ports fully shut so the shell stays sealed.
- Guide the zips with two hands every time, and avoid running the tent under heavy positive or negative pressure. SeaHawk recommend a zipper lubricant to prolong zip life.
- Mop spills out of the floor tray rather than leaving them to sit, since the tray is porous and standing water will work through it.
- Storage: dismantle carefully without stretching the seams, wipe the liner and tray down, and fold the cover only once it is completely dry.
