Packed with a bed of premium Australian RC412 virgin charcoal rated at 1,200+ IAV, it provides a high adsorption rate and an extended service life that outperforms lower-grade carbon alternatives. The RC412 charcoal grade is the same used in the AC Infinity Activated Carbon Refill, ensuring consistent, professional-grade filtration across the entire range.
Built for durability in demanding growing environments, the filter features aluminium flanges and a dual-sided galvanised steel mesh body with a rust-resistant gunmetal powder coat finish. The carbon bed is sandwiched between inner and outer mesh layers, maximising contact between passing air and activated carbon for efficient odour capture across the full surface area. Two machine-washable pre-filter cloths prevent carbon residue from entering the airstream and extend the time between carbon replacements. Two hanging straps are included for straightforward overhead installation in grow tents and rooms.
The filter is compatible with both intake and exhaust configurations when paired with any matching-diameter inline duct fan, and the aluminium flanges can be reversed at each service interval to distribute wear evenly across the carbon bed and extend total filter lifespan. For a grower running an exhaust fan in a sealed tent, connecting the Duct Carbon Filter between the fan and the duct exit keeps every cubic metre of exhausted air scrubbed clean before it leaves the space, eliminating odour at the source rather than masking it.

Select a fan and filter combination sized correctly for your space, taking into account the airflow rating and static pressure requirements of both. If you need help sizing your setup, use the Hydro Oasis Ventilation Calculator.
Attach one end of the filter to your inline fan using the aluminium flange and a duct clamp or aluminium tape to create an airtight connection.
Connect the remaining flange to your outgoing ducting.
Slide the machine-washable pre-filter cloths over both ends of the filter body to cover the outer mesh surface.
Secure the filter in position using the included hanging straps. The filter can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on your setup.
Seal all duct connections with aluminium tape to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the filter at the joints.
Run the inline fan and confirm airflow is passing through the filter without restriction.
Every six months or as needed, remove and machine wash the pre-filter cloths to clear accumulated dust and debris.
To extend carbon bed life, reverse the aluminium flanges at each service interval to rotate the direction of airflow through the carbon bed.
Replace the filter or refill the carbon bed when odours break through despite a clean pre-filter cloth and secure duct connections.
