The AC Infinity Self Watering Base is a set of four patented reservoir trays that convert fabric pots into bottom-watering planters, holding a reserve of water beneath each pot and feeding it upward as the plant draws the level down. It is the platform of AC Infinity's watering range: each tray carries one pot from the AC Infinity Fabric Pots - 5PK, and the whole pack can later be upgraded to automatic refilling. For growers running fabric pots indoors it solves two problems at once, unattended watering between visits and the runoff that otherwise ends up on the tent floor.
Each base assembles from five parts: a matte black water basin, a drain plate raised on a central support column, a rising water meter, a strainer-capped water spout and a set of high-absorption wick lines. The wick lines thread through holes in the drain plate to rest on the basin floor, drawing water and dissolved water-soluble fertiliser up into the lower third of the fabric pot, while the elevated plate keeps the pot itself clear of standing water and the buildup that forms in it. The manual specifies two 45.7 cm (1.5 ft) wicks through the inner holes for pots up to 11.4 L (3 gal), and two 61 cm (2 ft) wicks through the outer holes for 18.9 L to 26.5 L (5 to 7 gal) pots; running a single wick reduces the feed rate. Drainage holes in the plate collect runoff from the base and sides of the pot into the basin below, where the wicks cycle it back up, and the water meter rises and falls with the reservoir so the remaining reserve is visible without lifting anything. The Standard tray (model AC-SPA5-4) fits 18.9 L (5 gal) fabric pots with a 3.8 L (1 gal) reservoir, measuring 42.0 cm (16.53") across by 8.0 cm (3.18") tall; the XL (AC-SPA9-4) fits 37.9 L (10 gal) pots with an 8.5 L (2.25 gal) reservoir at 58.4 cm (22.97") by 9.1 cm (3.60"). Both are rated to 45 kg (100 lb) of planted weight and come four to a pack. Self-watering action only begins once roots reach the bottom of the pot, so young transplants still need top watering at first, and the basin and wick lines want a clean roughly every two weeks to stay ahead of mineral buildup, algae and pests. Adding the AC Infinity Self Watering Base Valve Kit - 4PK replaces manual refilling with gravity-fed top-ups from a raised reservoir. Its wick-line delivery keeps the lower root zone evenly moist while the elevated drain plate stops the pot ever sitting in water, and the rising meter shows exactly when the spout needs a refill.
NOTE: the 45 kg (100 lb) rating is planted weight only - never stand on the base. Do not twist a seated pot to reposition it, as twisting can pull the wick lines out of the water.

Fit the drain plate onto its support column inside the water basin.
Thread two wick lines through the drain plate so their ends rest flat on the basin floor: inner holes with 45.7 cm (1.5 ft) wicks for pots up to 11.4 L (3 gal), outer holes with 61 cm (2 ft) wicks for 18.9 L to 26.5 L (5 to 7 gal) pots.
Sit the fabric pot centrally on the drain plate. Never twist a seated pot to reposition it, as twisting can pull the wick lines out of the water.
Fill the reservoir through the water spout until the water meter reads full.
Top water new transplants until roots reach the bottom of the pot; self-watering begins once leaves sit level with the pot rim or roots show through the pot base.
Check the meter and refill through the spout as the reserve runs down.
Every two weeks, drain via the spout and clean the basin and wick lines to prevent mineral buildup, algae and pests.
