Bugs for Bugs Carpophilus Catcha Trap Kit
Bugs for Bugs Carpophilus Catcha Trap Kit provides the traps for monitoring and mass trapping carpophilus beetles. The trap hardware forms one part of the Catcha system, with the attractants added separately to draw beetles into the trap.
The traps arrive together in a sturdy cardboard box with instructions for use. This is the hardware kit rather than a bait refill: the pheromone and co-attractant are supplied in the Bugs for Bugs Carpophilus Catcha Refill Kit. That separation lets the traps be ordered as a set without mistaking the box for a complete attractant treatment.
NOTE: Contains three traps and instructions. Pheromone and co-attractant are sold separately. Traps must be positioned outside the crop; placing them inside can increase crop damage.
Three ready-to-hang Catcha traps for carpophilus beetle monitoring and mass trapping!

Application Rate
- Carpophilus management: 3 traps per hectare.
- Carpophilus monitoring: 2 traps per block smaller than 10 hectares, or 4 traps per block of 10 hectares or larger.
Application
- Use with the matching Carpophilus Catcha system in the labelled crops: peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, cherries, apples, pears, nashi and berry fruit. Pheromone, co-attractant and any required registered killing agent are supplied separately.
- Locate traps 6 - 15 m outside the crop perimeter, at corners or on the upwind edges. Never place traps inside the crop, as this can increase crop damage.
- Space traps no closer than 30 - 40 m apart. Secure the metal ring to a star picket 1 - 1.5 m above the ground and place the trap in the ring.
- Monitor for at least 4 weeks before harvest, 2 weeks during harvest and 2 weeks after harvest. Check for beetles and empty dead beetles at least twice weekly while the crop is susceptible.
- Follow the full system label for attractant and killing-agent setup, replenishment and disposal. Continue the system until 2 weeks after harvest.
Safety
When handling the separate Catcha attractants, pheromone lure or insecticide, wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles. Wash hands after use.
