AC Infinity UIS Lighting Daisy-Chain Adapter Dongle - UIS to RJ11
The AC Infinity UIS Lighting Daisy-Chain Adapter Dongle (model AC-ADS4) is a passive, L-shaped signal adapter that converts a UIS grow light's proprietary port into a standard RJ11/12 lighting connection, so UIS LED fixtures can run from digital lighting controllers fitted with RJ11 or RJ12 ports, including other brands' PWM units. It is the mirror of the UIS Daisy Chain Splitter: where that splitter chains UIS devices off UIS controllers over all-UIS connections, this dongle carries the control signal across from RJ11/12 systems, so a mixed-brand light array can follow one controller.
The adapter runs 25.4 cm (10 in) end to end, with a right-angle body 2.0 cm (0.78 in) at its widest. The male UIS connector seats into the light's port, while the female RJ11/12 jack faces upstream, receiving the cable arriving from the controller or from the previous fixture in the chain - the control signal always flows from the RJ11 side into the UIS side. It is a pin adapter for the low-voltage PWM dimming signal only: no protocol-translating electronics and no mains power path, so every light keeps running from its own driver while its intensity and schedule follow the controller. Fitted one dongle per fixture and linked with RJ11 cable, same-type UIS lights chain sequentially, an arrangement AC Infinity rate at up to 20 devices from a single controller port. A 3.05 m (10 ft) RJ11 extension cable and a 2.7 cm (1.07 in) female-to-female coupler come in the box for longer runs.
The dongle covers the full UIS lighting range: IONBEAM bars such as the IONBEAM S16, IONBOARD boards, IONGRID fixtures and the IONFRAME series including the IONFRAME EVO4, plus future UIS lighting releases. It also doubles as a reach extender for UIS control systems: a UIS controller such as the Controller 69 Pro connects through a UIS Lighting Adapter Type A (sold separately), with the included RJ11 cable spanning the distance back to this dongle at the light, turning inexpensive telephone cable into a long UIS control run. Finished in black to match the UIS line, it converts a light's proprietary port on the spot, letting an established RJ11/12 lighting controller drive AC Infinity fixtures without replacing either side of the system.
NOTE: this dongle carries the dimming control signal only - it does not power lights, and every fixture in a chain still needs its own power supply. Sequential daisy-chaining is for same-type UIS grow lights, and a third-party controller must dim via the RJ11 PWM protocol; AC Infinity note that protocol variations between brands can limit dimming precision. The UIS Lighting Adapter Type A required to connect a UIS controller is not included.

- Running UIS lights from an RJ11/12 controller: plug the dongle's right-angle male UIS connector into the UIS port on the grow light.
- Run an RJ11 cable from the digital lighting controller into the dongle's female RJ11/12 jack; the included 3.05 m (10 ft) extension cable and female-to-female coupler can lengthen the run.
- To chain further fixtures, fit one dongle per light and link them sequentially with RJ11 cable, keeping every light the same type; AC Infinity rate a chain at up to 20 devices per controller port.
- Set dimming levels and schedules on the controller; all chained lights follow its programming together, each still powered by its own driver.
- Extending a UIS controller instead: plug a UIS Lighting Adapter Type A (sold separately) into the controller's UIS port.
- Connect the included RJ11 extension cable from the Type A adapter's RJ11 jack to this dongle's RJ11/12 jack, adding the coupler and extra RJ11 cable if more reach is needed.
- Plug this dongle's male UIS connector into the light's UIS port; the light now follows the UIS controller across the extended run.
